The Nation's Bedside Doctor is "turning patients into advocates"

Laboratory

Laboratory

Some industries require laboratory testing to ensure the well-being of the workforce, promote safety for all employees and the public, and comply with OSHA compliance standards. We offer laboratory testing including:

***Free onsite Covid-19 testing for employers only
– Provides peace of mind for employers and employees alike.
– Results reporting is generated daily and shared with employers.

Prior vaccination status

Occupational exposure to hazardous substances (asbestos, lead, arsenic, beryllium, benzene, cadmium, etc.)

Bloodbourne pathogens

We obtain samples from urine and/or blood and will send out these samples to a federally certified laboratory. Depending on the testing, most results will be available within 5-7 business days. Results are discussed with the employee on a follow-up visit and in some cases with the employer if Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) does not apply. Contact us for efficient and error-free testing.

Drug and Alcohol Testing

Part of safety in the workplace is ensuring a drug and alcohol-free environment. Drug and alcohol impair an employee’s ability to perform job duties, increasing the risk of accidents. They create a dangerous environment for all employees and the public. The most effective preventative measure is drug testing. Drug testing during the hiring process as well as periodic testing allows employers to comply with specific industry enforcement of maintaining a drug-free environment in addition to reducing injuries and employee absenteeism.

The Nations’s Bedside Doctor offers drug testing including:

5 and 10-panel drug screens- non-THC panel options may be available if desired by the employer in a non-regulated industry

DOT and non-DOT drug screens

Pre-employment drug screens

Random drug screens

Post-Accident drug screens

Return to Work/Fit for Duty drug screens

Post-accident drug screens

Reasonable suspicion drug screens

Blood Alcohol Testing (BAT)

We collect samples either by urine, blood, hair, or saliva depending on employer needs and specifications. Certain samples, for example, DOT drug screens, may be sent out to a federally certified laboratory. All non-negative testing results will be sent out for confirmatory testing, with results available within 5 business days. A Medical Review Officer (MRO) will review all results and is available to discuss.

If needed, The Nation’s Bedside Doctor can assist an employer with arranging employee substance abuse rehabilitation. We have a vast referral network that provides detoxification as well as rehabilitation and lifestyle stabilization programs. Contact us for efficient and error-free testing.
